If You Swallowed the Floor Whole

A brief circle formed, widening until breaking against the edges, while another and yet another emerged, expanding from the same centre. Bubbles. Boiling briefly. Gushing foam. Geyser. Light mother-of-pearl lava. Then, like a drowned man returning to the surface, a dark stain ascended, a lock of black hair opening into shining waves, splashed with hot luscious weeds.

Tali Levi (b.1992) lives and works in New York, NY. They received a BFA from SUNY Purchase in 2014.
Recent group exhibitions include The Century House Historical Society (2022). Levi previously founded and directed Basin gallery in Philadelphia (2017-2018).
